We welcome all visitors to our Orthodox chapel, located in Berea, KY! St. Nina Orthodox Mission is itself a daughter of a now-large parish, St. Athanasius Orthodox Church in Nicholasville, that began as a small mission back in 2002. Both our mother parish and our daughter mission are blessed to have many visitors. We invite you to “come and see.”

Our full calendar for all events in our mission over the next several months is here. Note that all of our evening services are now scheduled to begin at 630pm slot to keep things simple:

    • Tuesday, September 2: 630pm Vespers & Special Class (Fr. Justin)
    • Saturday, Septeber 6 : 630pm Lay Vespers (No Confessions)
    • Tuesday, September 9: 630pm Vespers & Catechesis Part 1 (Fr. David)
    • Saturday, September 13: 630pm Great Vespers w/ Confessions (Fr. Giorgi)
    • Sunday, September 14: 930am Divine Liturgy for Cross Feast & Potluck (Fr. Giorgi)
    • Tuesday, September 16: 630pm Vespers & Catechesis Part 2 (Fr. David)
    • Saturday, September 20: 630pm Lay Vespers (No Confessions)
    • Tuesday, Setpember 23: 630pm Vespers & Annual Parish Meeting for St. Nina (all clergy)
    • Sept. 26-28: St. Herman Campout @ Cumberland Falls (Falls Creek Campground)

September 1 is not only the "Church New Year," but it is also the 6th Anniversary since the falling asleep of a bishop who visited Kentucky twice and took a keen interest in the future of Orthodoxy here, which includes the work that laid the foundation for St. Nina and beyond. He was a gem of a man and a compassionate archpastor. May Archbishop Nikon's memory be eternal!Today is the 6th Anniversary of the Repose of Archbishop Nikon.
